The Royal Society Library and Archives

The Royal Society Library and Archives are a rich resource for science historians, covering all branches of science. They hold a large collection of Bernard Lovell’s papers (MS/870), focusing on his work as a Fellow of the Royal Society, his research, publications and achievements.

Of particular interest are his diaries, which provide unique insight into his wartime work and the construction of the Lovell telescope.
