William Young’s photos of Jodrell Bank, 1958-1961

This unique and evocative collection of photos were taken between 1958 and 1961 by William Young, an engineer who worked at Jodrell as part of the Space Technology Laboratories team – a US team responsible for tracking space missions. They are a snapshot of the Jodrell Bank places, equipment and people at this moment in time, and give a rare picture of the site in colour.
