Jodrell Bank welcomes Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal in celebration of UNESCO World Heritage status
Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal visited Jodrell Bank last week (Tuesday 30 January) to mark the occasion of Jodrell Bank Observatory being awarded UNESCO World Heritage Status in 2019.
As February half term approaches, prepare to embark on an extraordinary journey to Jodrell Bank, where science, discovery, and family fun collide in an out-of-this-world experience. This year, we are thrilled to introduce a captivating addition to our lineup – the brand new science show, “Curious Kids.”
From distant galaxies and nebulae to our very own corner of Cheshire, this exhibition will take you on a journey through space in stunning detail – all included in the price of entry!
The Tour of Britain has captured the imagination of millions across the country, waiting eagerly by the route or tuning in to catch a glimpse of some of the world’s most talented sports people. Setting off (at breakneck speed) just down the road in Altrincham earlier this month, the race’s popularity mirrors the recent rise in cycling for health, leisure and commuting…
We are proud to nurture a strong team, with many making their careers at Jodrell, and others passing through as they define their future. From a semi-professional footballer to cabin crew, we have an invaluable team of staff that work around their other jobs, hobbies, school or University, and if you’ve been to see us, you’ll have met some of them.
