British Pathé is major newsreel archive, spanning the years from 1896 to 1978, the collection includes footage from around the globe of major events, famous faces, travel, science and culture.
In the 1950s and 60s, as the Lovell telescope was being built and the world was watching the space race, Jodrell Bank became a regular news feature. You can watch films from the Jodrell Bank collection for free on the Pathé website.
