New bluedot Headliners Announced

Posted 1 Feb, 2022

We’re thrilled to be announcing a pantheon of headline acts across music, science and cosmic culture at this summer’s bluedot.

After a two year hiatus, the festival returns from 21-24 July, here at its home, in the shadow of the mighty Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank. We can’t wait to welcome a new host of creatives, scientists, performers, writers and thinkers, to celebrate in another long-weekend of experiments and experiences!

Alongside the phenomenal Bjork performing in an exclusive show with The Halle Orchestra, music highlights also include Groove Armada, Metronomy, Mogwai and Spiritualized.

Meanwhile, bluedot favourites Jim Al-Khalili, Monica Grady and Chris Lintott are all set to return with illuminating new talks on space science. Plus, look out for incredible new guests including the brilliant David Olusoga plus a host of comedy greats from Stewart Lee to Lolly Adefope.

The Met Office, Tyndall Centre, and Creative Manchester are all on the bill too. And, as ever, you can expect to see a host of research teams across The University of Manchester, alongside stargazing nights, twilight parades, fire gardens, and the ever-popular Luminarium.

Tickets are on sale 10am this coming Friday 4th February. For booking and information visit: discoverthebluedot.com

See you there!
