Jodrell Bank is out of this world!

Posted 4 Nov, 2022

We are thrilled that the First Light Project has recently won four awards, and has been shortlisted for two more.

We are proud to have won Creative Campaign of the Year in this years’ North East Cheshire Business Awards, as well as being shortlisted for Team of the Year, and Small Business of the Year.

Hats off to Johnson Banks for  winning BrandNew’s Best of the Year accolade, for the new logo and identity design they produced for Jodrell Bank.

The First Light Pavilion has been selected as one of only 50 successful National/International projects from over 250 applications for the 2023 Civic Trust Awards, for design excellence, whilst being sustainable, accessible and provide a positive social contribution. We head down to London on 31st March to attend the awards ceremony.

Thank you to all those who nominated and voted for Jodrell Bank as best Museum in the Red Kite Cheshire and Greater Manchester Awards  – we were both surprised and delighted to win. We like to think we are a place where visitors can enjoy spending quality time together with their families, connecting with Jodrell Bank’s science and stories – and it seems you think so too.

Our stunning new First Light Pavilion is also a winner in the Local Authority Building Control Awards – winning the best public or community building in the North West region, and now qualifies for the LABC Grand Finals Building Excellence Awards. Good luck for the ceremony in January.

And finally, we have been shortlisted for Marketing Cheshire’s Visitor Attraction of the Year, in recognition of excellence and outstanding achievements in Cheshire’s visitor economy and look forward to the ceremony in March.
