Returning in 2025, book a Jodrell Bank Astrophotography class and see the stars in a whole new way.

Elevate your technique and transform your celestial photos into works of art with a follow-on astrophotography class at Jodrell Bank.

A classroom-based evening, this session follows on from our ‘Step into Astrophotography’ course, giving budding astrophotographers even more tips, tricks, and techniques for creating breath-taking portraits of the night sky.

Meet likeminded people and expand your creative horizons in a session which includes a lecture by astronomer, astrophotographer, and Jodrell Bank’s Head of Computing, Dr. Anthony Holloway, and a demonstration of industry-standard software such as ‘Deep Sky Stacker’ and ‘Star Trails’.

Please note, this is a theory-based session, and the evening won’t include any practical outdoor work.

Hot drinks will be provided.

This event is suitable for adults and young people 14+.

Please let us know if you have any access requirements before the event so we can best support you by contacting jodrellbank@manchester.ac.uk. Find out more about our accessibility here.
