‘Jod On!’ and join us for a special episode recording as we celebrate 20 years of The Jodcast – the UK’s longest running astrophysics podcast.

Created by PhD students and researchers at The University of Manchester’s Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics, The Jodcast has been bringing listeners the latest space news, ground-breaking discoveries and conversations with leading scientists since 2006.

For this anniversary celebration, Jodcasters past and present will reunite to share behind-the-scenes stories, memorable moments and fascinating insights from two decades of exploring the Universe.

The evening’s special guests include:

Dr Jen Gupta – astronomer, science communicator and self-proclaimed professional space nerd.

Dr Olivia “Libby” Jones – James Webb Space Telescope scientist exploring how stars and galaxies evolve.

Dr Emma Alexander – radio astronomer investigating mysterious thread-like structures within the Milky Way.

Together, they’ll discuss everything from black holes and distant galaxies to careers in astronomy and what life is really like behind the scenes of world-leading research.

You’ll also have the chance to become part of the anniversary episode by putting your own questions to the panel. Ask about the mysteries of the Universe, the future of space exploration or how to begin a career among the stars.

Expect big questions, brilliant stories, plenty of laughs and an unforgettable evening inside the immersive Space Dome.

The First Light Pavilion Café will be open selling drinks, snacks, and sweet treats.

Book your tickets and be part of The Jodcast’s 20th anniversary recording – live from Jodrell Bank.
