The Lovell Telescope has been looking up and learning about the Universe for 80 years – and this winter you can too at Astro Night: Kids!
Join the Jodrell Bank team and Macclesfield Astronomical Society for a stellar evening of family fun, perfect for budding young stargazers.
Start your adventure with a journey through the night sky in our immersive Space Dome Show, then head outdoors (weather permitting) to get hands-on with binoculars and telescopes. From shooting stars to sparkling constellations – what will you discover?
You’ll also pick up top tips for stargazing from our expert team, create tasty marshmallow constellations, and learn how to craft your very own planisphere! There will also be the opportunity to dress up and take part in our astronaut challenge…
Don’t forget to stop by the First Light Café where you can enjoy a delicious selection of drinks and treats – from hot dogs to hot chocolate – truly the icing on the cake!
