Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre is fully accessible. If you have a query please call 01477 571766.

Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre is all at ground level. We have three buildings linked by pathways around the site and 35 acres of gardens which have a surfaced path around the area nearest to the arrivals building.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Visitors

  • Assistance dogs are welcome at Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre
  • We have induction loops fitted to our reception, exhibition and classroom spaces
  • Some of our exhibitions have subtitles and others have translations

Blind and Partially Sighted Visitors

  • Sighted assistants are recommended for your visit
  • Assistance dogs are welcome at Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre
  • Some of our exhibits are hands-on and some have voice-overs.

Visitors with limited Mobility and Wheelchair Users

  • We do have two manual wheelchairs for visitors use.   If you wish to book a wheel chair in advance of your visit please call 01477 571766
  • Our buildings and car park are fully accessible.
  • We have accessible toilet facilities in all of our buildings.
  • All our exhibits are fully accessible to wheelchair users.

Gardens

  • Assistance dogs are welcome in the gardens
  • The main areas of the Gardens are accessible and have surfaced pathways, including the Jodrell Bank Galaxy Garden.
  • The Gardens are otherwise laid to grass and have wilderness areas which are uncultivated and therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.

Parking

  • Our car park is fully accessible. There are disabled parking bays in the area of the car park nearest to the arrival building.
