Teachers’ Comments:

“The children (and adults) loved the day and haven’t stopped talking about it. Having such a clearly organised and planned day really helped me as a teacher and trip leader as it took the stress out of the day. This is the third time I’ve taken a class to Jodrell Bank and each time the day improves. Thank you for the day.” – M. Wilson

“We come back to Jodrell Bank each year with our Year 5 children. The day is extremely well organised. We never feel rushed, nor do we feel that we are trying to fill gaps. Really good. Thanks.” – Mrs Carney

“This will be our third time visiting Jodrell Bank. The educational value and the fun experiences that Jodrell Bank has to offer is fantastic. The staff are always very good in both their ability with children and their level of understanding. We see this trip as a must, you offer many practical ways to explain space to children than we couldn’t in the classroom, hence why we always come back with a new class every year. A big thank you to all of your staff.” – Mr Holstein

“A really well organised day in terms of time, exhibits, value for money. The two A-level workshops were particular highlights. The person delivering was so enthusiastic and she pitched the level just right. The worksheets available to download before the visit were really good too. They really made the students focus on the exhibits and learn a lot from what they were looking at. I have already recommended a visit to a local school.” – Susan Mighall

“A fantastic day and a wonderful kick start to our ‘Space’ topic. The workshops were well matched to the ability of Key Stage 1 children. Watching the telescope move was a real treat. Thoroughly enjoyable and very helpful, accommodating staff. We will certainly return.” – Miss Lowe

“We really enjoyed our trip. The sessions were excellent and pitched perfectly for a KS2 group of children. The site was accessible and safe and the children had a fantastic day. The orrery was a perfect accompaniment to our unit on space as it really brought the solar system to life. We loved our day and will definitely book again.” – K Vine
