Our award-winning festival of discovery is set to return to Jodrell Bank on 19-22 July 2018.
Set against a backdrop of the iconic Lovell Telescope, bluedot combines a truly stellar line-up of music with a ground-breaking programme of live science experiments, expert talks and immersive artworks.
Music headline acts for 2018 include The Chemical Brothers, The Flaming Lips and Future Islands amongst many others, complimented once again by a ground-breaking programme of live science experiments, expert talks and immersive artworks.
Meanwhile, new for 2018, a special event on Thursday 19th July will see Blue Planet in Concert, performed by the Halle Orchestra, kicking off a brand new family four-day format. The show combines live music against a backdrop of remarkable footage from the original Blue Planet 2001 television series produced by the acclaimed BBC Natural History Unit.
The science and culture programme at bluedot is also going from strength to strength and we’re delighted to welcome some of the UK’s best-known scientists and writers, discussing the latest developments in areas ranging from quantum biology to wildlife conservation. Find out more here.
